The Irish Congress of Southern California (“ICSC”) is a non-profit corporation that was founded for the purpose of promoting public appreciation and knowledge of Irish history and culture.
The organization’s primary activity is to provide the San Diego Community a quality St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Irish Festival in Balboa Park.
San Diego’s St.Patrick’s Day Parade is the largest west of the Mississippi River and the 3rd largest in Parade attendance in the United States, behind New York City and Savanna, Georgia.
The Irish Congress is an "all-volunteer" organization that has over 40 standing Committees whose volunteer members carry out the work of organizing the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Festival and related activities.
The Irish Congress receives no funding from the City of San Diego, its only income comes from sponsors, donors and event related income.
