Join us on February 28, 2026 for a wonderful evening celebrating our San Diego Irish ladies ages 21-30.
The Miss Colleen has been a cherished tradition of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival since 1981. This time-honored program celebrates the joy of Irish heritage, the spirit of community involvement, and the young women who proudly represent the San Diego Irish community.
Each year, the Miss Colleen Selection honors a young woman who embodies the values symbolized by the Claddagh: love, friendship, and loyalty. As Miss Colleen, she serves as a role model for future generations and represents the Irish Congress of Southern California (ICSC) at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival, as well as at other ICSC and Irish community events throughout the year.
Miss Colleen also receives the opportunity to be reimbursed up to $1,200 for airfare to Ireland, allowing her to experience and deepen her appreciation of her Irish heritage firsthand.
The selection process includes private, off-stage interviews with judges, followed by an on-stage introduction where contestants answer questions based on their submitted questionnaires. Family and friends are welcome to attend and show their support.
There is no application fee to participate. Instead, each contestant is sponsored by a local business for $150. Sponsorships may be arranged by the Miss Colleen Committee, or contestants may choose to represent a local business of their own.
Eligibility: The Miss Colleen contest is open to women ages 21–30 who live in the San Diego area and have Irish heritage.
Selection: The 2026 Miss Colleen will be selected on Saturday, February 28th in Rancho San Diego at Hooley's Irish Pub during a private event.
We look forward to welcoming you and celebrating your participation in this meaningful and proud tradition of the San Diego Irish community."
