The Irish Congress of Southern California (ICSC) celebrated our 30th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival on March 13th, 2010 in Balboa Park.
The theme was “Celebrating 30 Years of Community Unity with Special Thanks to our Veterans and Military” is of utmost importance to the members of the Irish Congress. We saluted the active military and veterans and reflecting the wishes of the people of San Diego who have supported this Parade for many years.
Our Veterans Committee members who organized this event are all veterans themselves.
The Festival offered many diverse programs: Children’s rides, a Celtic Village, wonderful Irish bands, and two beer gardens. A special section of Balboa Park was set aside for veterans groups with called “Patriot Zone.” There was an ICSC history booth to display the memories of our past parades.
As always, Volunteers and Donations are most welcome anytime.
God Bless America
