The Irish Congress of Southern California (ICSC) celebrates our 30th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival on March 13th, 2010 in Balboa Park.
This year’s theme (“Celebrating 30 Years of Community Unity with Special Thanks to our Veterans and Military”) is of utmost importance to the members of the Irish Congress. We are saluting the active military and veterans and reflecting the wishes of the people of San Diego who have supported this Parade for many years.
Our Veterans Committee members organizing this honor are all veterans themselves. They all know first hand of sacrifice for love of country. We are certain this will be a most memorable event.
The Festival offers many diverse programs: Children’s rides, a Celtic Village, wonderful Irish bands, and two beer gardens for your enjoyment. A special section of Balboa Park is being set aside for veterans groups with booths, which will be called “Veterans Village.” We will have an ICSC history booth to display the memories of our past parades. Who knows, you may visit with old friends you haven’t seen for a long time or make some new ones. Either way, we think you’ll have a good time!
Please be advised our Parade is full. However, we still have Vending and organization sites available in our Festival area and are accepting ads for our Program. As always, Volunteers and Donations are most welcome anytime.
